OUTREACH & EVANGALISM

Growing Home is an ecumenical program in which we join with other churches to feed and house homeless families as they strive to get back on their feet. We also collect school supplies in the Fall and gifts for families every Christmas.

United Thank Offering (UTO) encourages daily prayer, offerings and awareness of the abundance of God's blessings by supporting grants for ministries both at home and overseas.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is a 53 year “young” education and fundraising initative that gives U.S. kids, along with their parents and teachers, the opportunity to learn about their peers worldwide who are truly in need and to raise money on their behalf.

St. Francis Center is an Episcopal center providing services and support for homeless people. We support them by collecting clothing and money throughout the year.

Amiguitos.net  An ecumenical organization performing community development projects in vulnerable neighborhoods of Veracruz, Mexico. Click to get more info and trip dates.

West Adams County Crop Walk is an annual fundraiser that supports Church World Services whose proceeds go to alleviate poverty globally and locally to Growing Home.

Loaves & Fishes (Intercession Food Pantry) provides emergency food for community members in need.

Crazy Quilters meets the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 am to create quilts for community shelters and Growing Home.

Greeting Cards are sent to parish members who are in need of encouragement, congratulations or sympathy.

Grocery Cards are purchased from King Soopers and Safeway at a 3-5% discount to sell to our parishioners.  By using the grocery cards each time groceries are purchased the General Fund is supported and may be purchased after each Sunday service.

Prayer Chain is a weekly confidential prayer list sent by e-mail taken from the prayer list read on Sunday and additional requests received by phone or e-mail during the week.  Chain members then pray for the people on the list as often as they are called to do.

Prayer Shawls or Lap Robes are made by members of the parish who quilt, knit or crochet them to remind a  parish member who is going through a difficult time or challenging period in their life of both our love and that of God’s.

Pastoral Caregivers visit hospitalized and shut-in persons, and offer friendship through times of strife and provide prayer support at Sunday worship.
